Absolutely delicious. So good it's hard to believe it's out of a jar, and the apple flavour from the Calvados is subtle, but unmistable. As per Brian's review (Sept 2015, below), great with mash - and some Breton cidre if you can find it...

Superb with creamy mashed potatoes. Far superior to the English tripe of my youth in Lancashire. Nourishing and delcious, great on a cold day - or at any time! Why has tripe disappeared from butchers' shops in the UK?
